TRS: Teaching, Research, and Service - College of Arts and Science

Instructions for Completing the TRS form:

  1. Make sure that you have selected the My TRS and Current Year tabs. The very first time you enter, there will be a "Begin TRS Report" link. Click it to create a new report.
     
  2. For your convenience, we have pre-loaded Question 1 on the form with the courses you taught during the time period (January 2020 through December 2020). This information can be corrected if you notice an error and/or additional information may be added.
     
  3. Question 2 is actually a six-part fill-in the blank question. You may either fill in the blank and press , or click the and buttons to change the numbers. Four of those also ask for the names of students. Please enter the students' names in the blanks below those questions.
     
  4. Questions 3 through 9 are text boxes. To complete these questions, feel free to cut and paste information, as appropriate, from your c.v. or other existing documents. The and buttons are for your viewing convenience: simply press to see additional lines of text or to see less.
     
  5. If you are unable to complete the form in one session, you may save what you have entered by clicking "Save" at the top or bottom of the page. In the next session, click the "Edit" link to continue working on the form. You may re-enter the TRS tool as often as necessary through the January 18 deadline.
     
  6. Once you are satisfied that you have completed the TRS report, press the "Submit" button. This will alert your chair/director that you have completed the TRS report.
     
  7. To print your TRS report, click the "Printer-friendly view" link. A new tab or a new window will open, depending on your browser's configuration. Simply print the page as you would any web page, and close that tab or window when finished. You may also download your report to your computer, by clicking either the "Download HTML" or "Download TEXT" links. Depending on your browser's configuration, the document may be saved on your computer, or opened direcly into Microsoft Word.
     
  8. Reports from prior years may also be viewed, printed or downloaded by clicking the "Past Years" tab and selecting a year in the menu. Follow the same instructions as above.
     
  9. Please remember to log out of the TRS utility after each use.
